If someone can please link me to 2.7 or 2.6 that be great those were the last updates that worked with my workflow.

PAD Copy works.

Click and hold the copy button.
While holding the copy button and tap the pad you want to copy
Let go of the copy button and tap the pads you want copy the sound to. (It or they will be red)
Click do it on screen or just go back to main
Now make a dope track and give a shout out to Charles Randolph. (Only if it's dope.)

- open https://www.akaipro.com/mpc-live
- go to Downloads (2.7 is still available)
- download the last PDF: Akai Downloads Archive
then choose the firmware you want

Warning: you may not be able to open your projects on 2.7 or 2.6 if they were modified on 2.8 or 2.9

Yeah watch that. I think 2.8 is a cutoff. You cant go back after you start working in it.

Actually it doesn't for the way i use it after I sample. When pad parameters is selected then going to the program screen in sample edit it copies the same sound over after even you created a new chop. Ever since the last update pad parameters has be screwed, but Non-Destructive Chop works which i overlooked, thanks.

Can you write it out a step by step? That way it can be reproduced.

You got your sample recorded, you hit edit, you find your chop discard the rest. Assign it to the pad using "Pad Parameters", hit program in the sample edit screen, doing so allows access to pad copy. Normally i'd find my next chop and copy it to the pad and its a whole new chop but now its the same chop. I edited my last reply to you and it appears Non-Destructive works but both choices worked before these latest 2 updates.

I see the edit now.... the issue was you said, "Copy Pad" didn't work. Yes, 2.9 corrected that bug, to my knowledge they just didn't release any notes about what was fixed.

Yea, I wasn't clear. My workflow is different from everyone else's I'm sure but those little things speed the process for me.

The release note of 2.9 is available now.
But nothing about fixed bugs, just the drum synth...

Hey, sorry I was in my feelings yesterday or whenever. I'm sick af and have zero patience right now. Anyway, my 2.0 upgrade is still not under my registered products, the email still takes me to the buy page (for what I already bought, even when logged in ahead of time), but on both mine & my son's PC as soon as we opened MPC Software yesterday, we got the update prompt. The download from yesterday is still going, but that's another issue. I'm still iffy on the subscription/update model, but I'll try to be open minded. Respect CharlesRandolph, I was so in my feelings I couldn't even copy & paste your shit right. Much love.

And thanks everyone for the help. I'm sure that would have worked, but Akai kinda took care of it.

Glad it worked out and yes I've been on that fence before. But like you said the software is not unlimited updates, if users want unlimited updates they must subscribe to MPC Software monthly plan for $9.99.

Of course i am and I never claimed I wasn't! But it's fun to see it opened up something in your inner-child, even trying to mess up other topics with your insecurity ;-)

Next you'll want to speak to the manager
