Pad LFO's doing F*** All?????

Hi Troops, would really appreciate some help. I'm in Program Edit mode for a Keygroup. I have LFO set to Sine and Rate to 1/8. I have Destinations Pitch, Filter and Amp set to 70,70 and 127 respectfully. The only audible result I can achieve is a slight volume change between Amp being set from 0 (Loud) to 127 (about 2dB quieter).......I've tried the manual, youtube and been trying to work this out for a number of days now, I feel like there's something not right here. Surely as soon as i touch the pitch there'd be a very obvious result?

Hello .. Several things to try :

- on the same page "LFO/ MODULATION" of your keygroup , check if the parameter "WHEEL TO LFO" is on 0. When it's 1 to - 127 , it assigns the Mod wheel of your controller or keyboard connected on midi input to the keygroup's LFO general DEPTH . Very cooll for playing, but if its on 127, you won't hear any LFO result if not turning a mod wheel ( a.k.a Midi CC number 1 received by the mPC )

If This WHEEL TO LFO parameter is on 0 , your LFO settings to pitch should be audible directly as soon as you increase the PITCH depth.. try to change the lfo waveform until you hear something;

- LFO to filter should be audible depending of the setting of your filter ( If it's a LP filter with cutoff opent at maximum : nothing will happens , the LFo can'tmake the filter cutoff go upper than 127 . Also check that you have a filter assigned to your actual keygroup)

- Also : are you sure that you are editing (setting the lFo's parameters) the keygroup that is played by the pads ? put your program edit on "ALL" keygroups, so that it willa ffect every keygroups used by the program.

Hmm by default the Wheel To LFO should be off. You should definitely be hearing some **** up sounds when you touch a key, the LFO retriggers and starts every time you hit a key so it should take off right away. Pitch at 5 and you can already hear sick warbling, at 70 it should pretty gnarly.

Check the filter cutoff too. Like CalCaire said, it won't work if the filter is wide open. The LFO on these is gimped and only goes one way so if your filter is already at 127, there's nowhere for the LFO to go to. Try it at about 70-80 and see if you can hear the sweep. The pitch though, that should be totally **** with a value of 70 right away.

Thanks Monotremata and Calcaire, it was in fact the Wheel>Lfo set to 127 that was interfering and extra thanks for showing me that I can apply the settings to all the keygroups. Fingers crossed for bipolar LFO's in the next update Legends, the pair of you, your next drinks are on me
