Hi,

I'm having the following issue:
I chop my sample into slices, but when I'm assigning my samples to individual pads they all have the full sample on them, not the chops.
It worked fine before, maybe some kind of setting I accidentally changed?
Thanks for the help!

after you assign the sample you need to assign the slice. Are you sure you are assigning the slice in the program?

Also... why not just use convert from program edit and make a chopped program?

This is how I use to it:
1 Record the sample
2 Go to Sample Edit
3 Going to Chop Mode and create slices
4 Back to trim Mode and assign samples to the selected pad
(When I press "Assign Sample" the menu says " Assign slice to pad" ,so that seems correct to me.
Then I press "Do it")

That used to work all the time.
And what do you mean with a chopped program?

1. Record the sample
2. Go to Sample Edit
3. Go to Chop Mode and create slices
4. <Shift> -> <Convert>

This will create a program where each slice is assigned to a pad, i.e. Slice 1 is assigned to Pad 1, Slice 2 is assigned to Pad 2, etc...

Because not all slices are useful and you have better control to which slice goes where.

Shift convert and assigning a sample is still broken on 'pad parameters' (v2.9), works ok on 'non destructive'
Same with trim and assign , you need to use the ' non destructive '.

BUT why on earth did I used that instead of going to Trim and simply assign :Sigh:

To be honest I didn't get it
I'm new to this and I had much trouble to finally understand the difference between 'pad parameters' vs 'non destructive' ,but I don't see any difference between convert to single pad vs assign

Convert is basically....The Live/One/X, Automatically Chopping and Assigning the Slices to each Pad, while creating a Chopped up Program.

Assigning the Chops to Pads is you doing it manually

You can also choose to assign a specific slice to a pad when on ‘convert’ mode .
I thought it was the same with assign but there is a difference :

which I don’t get

With assign function you can still choose to disable linked slices that's why I don't understand the difference vs 'convert->to pad'
But in case of user error and not fully understanding the MPC , does 'assign' work for you using pad parameters?
In my case and I guess for @Soleil ,the slices are mapped differently and have to re-assign them in program edit

Should I submit a bug ?
