I still hate using towels for gear covers. They look bad in a studio, and don't protect as well as you think (check the lint screen on your clothes dryer for details).

I really want to test the decksavers with a big rock but that would be stupid  maybe there's a youtube vid but I really just dont care. And yeah towels do look unprofessional in the studio... But so does a speaker on a sampler if you ask me... I doubt many of us 'need' to look that pro in our 'studios,' & microfiber towels will be fine.

Most of them are around £35 here in the UK including shipping, and that includes 20% VAT, so around £29 ($35). That seems an okay price for a niche product. But I agree, I wouldn't pay $80 for them, that's some serious mark up.

For that price, DEFINITELY worth every penny (or quid or pence or whatever :) )

BTW, I don't remember ever being to order direct from Decksavers from the US. Looks like this is an option now, and the cost is the same (after shipping) compared to buying from Sweetwater or Zzounds. Weird.

UPDATE: ordering direct from Decksavers in the UK got my new cover shipped via UPS Express Saver. I ordered the cover on Monday 12/7, and it's scheduled to be delivered across the pond to the US on Thursday 12/10. That's quite impressive, as the total cost was about the same as ordering it from Sweetwater (which has them on pre-order right now)! :smoker: :worthy:
