If I slice up a sample into regions, and use Convert to create a drum program from those slices, and use Pad Parameters during conversion, all is well.
However, if I go into Program Edit on the newly created program, and accidentally nudge the sample assigned to a pad to another sample, I lose the start/end positions for the sample section assigned to the pad. Hitting UNDO is of no help - it’ll reset the sample assigned to the pad to what it was before, but not the start/end positions. I have to reset the start/end manually.
Is there another way to restore the start/end positions other than manually? This seems like a miss in the undo/redo function. In my case it’s pretty easy to reset the start/end but I could see this being really painful to fix under other circumstances. I filed a bug with Akai but wanted to ask other folks on the forum if this is a known quirk.
