How to save control channels setting for external synth?

Hi there

I am using an MPC ONE in standallone mode, with a Kork Volca Kick connected through MIDI.

What I want to achieve is that any settings (CC) I make through "program edit" to manipulate the sound, comming from the Volca Kick, get re-applied when I load the project.

As it is now, while all settings are stored (within the program) when saving a project, whenever I load a project to continue working on it, the Volca Kick reverted back to default sound settings. So, I have to manually re-apply them by going into "program edit" again and change all settings slightly to "re-trigger" them.

The only way I found, is through "List Edit" by inserting a Track Atomation event for every setting I want to adjust. However, this is a PITA as I need to know all values (Which are set in "Program Edit"). So I would have to set everything up in "Program Edit" write down the values for all CCs and then insert them in "List Edit".

Of course, I could just sample the sound from the Volca Kick or create an audio track, but I'd like to keep the possibility to change things up down the line.

I feel like I am missing something, as I spent a lot of time reading any documentation and searching for any solutions. As it stands, I really don't get why "program edit" for Midi Tracks even exist (other then having the ability to apply it during a live session).

Is there any program changes present, sounds like a PC message if I understand what you described

MIDI programs are completely useless, been discussed here, there and everywhere else before. They dont do jack shit other than give you another spot to name something and another file to fill up your project folder with. You can use the same MIDI program on 128 different tracks, it isn't going to do anything at all to the MIDI device on the other end. At least yours actually stores the settings but they dont really do anything at all to the device they're talking to unless you're actually changing something while its playing. You'll have to program automation in there to change those.

If the Korg Volca kick responds to program change ,then you can save the patch on the korg and create a sequence with a midi track on the MPC that sends program change.
If it doesn't you have to record all the midi CC to a midi track and create a sequence to send those CCs to the korg first...
