for those who have a 2000, this link is not for your 2000. this is for the 2000xl that have a floppy drive. for the 2000, you have to get a external zip drive hook to the scsi on the back of the unit. :(

actually there is a way you can put a zip in a classic 2000. Its just a little more complicated then the 2000xl

also internal or only external?
By synagodz Tue Feb 01, 2005 6:29 pm
read the link please, or call rougemusic for details, it is internal scsi for classic 2000 and external scsi 25 pin zip drive. this mod wont disable your external scsi connection, some will say this applies to the 2000xl, this is for the classic 2000, since ive 2 with internal zips, 1 personal, 1 backup just in case 1 goes to the shop, i know im not the only one with this classic 2000 mod, if i had a camera, i will open it up and send pics, but i dont, hopefully in the future i will provide in depth step by step of this mod, for now rougemusic.com does it for 109.00 2 day turnaround time. I hope that helps, thats all im trying to do is keep the classic 2000 faith going. Peace
