Akai Force Forum: Everything relating to the Akai Force, the iconic 64 pad, clip-based standalone sampler/groovebox from Akai.
I sliced up a drum wav file I imported and sliced up and assigned to pads. Wondering if I can somehow convert this to a kit format.

If you edit your sample file in Chop Mode, you can then convert it to a Kit. Look for the "Converting or Assigning Slices" (on page 231 of the 3.0.6 version of the manual).
I just did this tonight for the first time, turning a vocal snippet into a kit of words and sounds.
