Hey everyone! I am using an Mpc One. I created a melody on pad perform in a track and then moved on with creating a baseline in another track using pad perform. I am having trouble finding the original layout of the first melody. I want to go back and extend it but I can’t seem to locate the correct pad layout is used after using it for the baseline. Does anyone know if there is a shortcut to display the pad perform layout of a track after using pad perform for another instrument? Don’t know if this makes sense but any insight would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

-VIC

Honestly you kind of have to keep notes on those things while you're working, at least in 2.8 you do. There's no recall per track / instrument for pad perform. Once you adjust it on one instrument it's adjusted on the others.

That‘s right. Pad perform only maps the x notes to the chromatic scale for playing. To find out which scale you used, you need to check the notes and find out by yourself.

FYI: The German Wikipedia page (and none other, AFAIK) on musical scales has a nice graphical overview on those (see Bildliche Darstellung von Tonleitern):
