Need advice on MPC live 2

Hey guys recently I'm looking forward to buy mpc live 2. I had mpc live 1 2 years ago, but it was buggy as shit and the pads were faulty like they triggered own their own and the sensitivity had issues, screne flickers etc etc. So I kinda gave up and was uninspired


Now I'm looking to buy the live 2 if you're a live 2 owner. Are there any hardware bugs that exist in the new unit? And how are the pads(since my live 1 was faulty I could never have a sense of reference on how sensitive they should be.) Are they sensitive enough like how these fingers drummers be lightly tapping and getting sounds like david finger haynes.

I have mine since October and I don‘t have anything to complain or to regret - so far.
I‘ve been using Ren and Studio before that and I liked all their feel. So far I myself haven‘t experienced any bugs on the Live2, I‘ve had much more funny stuff with the other devices, although as pure controllers/interface, naturally.

I am VERY happy with threshold and sensitivity controls in the prefs. You can modify these to your liking. As a piano player I prefer very low threshold and very high sensitivity, but it‘s easy to change.

I also had the Live (generation 1) for about a year before selling it and picking up the Live 2 earlier this year. I never experienced the issues you mention on the Live 1, so you possibly had a bum unit. The Live 2 is super solid and I've had no hardware issues with it at all, to date. I bought my Live 2 in May 2020 and it's been fine (I'm on the latest 2.9 firmware currently). Highly recommended.

Never had any of the issues that you described, and really enjoy the Live 2... barring the Track Mute bug... but I can totally work around it so I'm not sweating that issue.

I feel like the Live should’ve been the flagship MPC. In my opinion, the MPC X is nice, but it’s the battery AND speakers that make the Live a better choice over the X for me...

Maybe... will say I do miss everything extra the X offered... 16 q-links with the oled displays, mixer/cue on 4x inputs, bigger screen... it is a solid step up... ymmv of course
