I bought a MPC live 2 recently and I would like to use it as a midi controller for Ableton live. I found strange that the pad mapping is incorrect comparing to my MPD218. when I press pad1 on MPC, in Ableton live, drum rack Pad2 sound is triggerer (which the C1#, but it should be C1) . when I press pad 2 on MPC, it trigger drum rack pad 1 's sound (which is C1, but it should be C1#). when I hit pad3 then it triggerr F#1. very strange, all the rest of the pad mapping to ableton is incorrect. can somebody guide me how to set up ? when I use MPD218, when it connected to Ableton live, all the setting is done automatically .....

MPC default MIDI note mapping is odd, always has been since the MPC60 (some kind of modified GM mapping). You can change the mapping of your program via MAIN > program row pencil icon, EDIT PAD MAP.

Choose the CHROMATIC C1 option. Re-save the program.

IMO it's about time Akai make C1 chromatic the default for new drum programs (or at least offer a preferences option for this), the legacy mapping was always daft, even more so nowadays.
