MPC X - Shift Timing Q-Link

Question that I was hoping someone could answer for me. I bought my MPC X in spring last year, but didn’t update the firmware until this weekend (my fault for being lazy). I believe the prior firmware I was using was 2.1.

There was a q-link knob that essentially provided the “shift timing” feature from older MPCs. It was in the third row, next to the swing percentage knob. Essentially, it would nudge hits one way or another from where they would be with perfect quantization. But, you could control how far they’d be nudged in either direction.

Now that I’ve updated to 2.9, that knob is gone... I was hoping someone could point me to where that feature has gone (or if, for some reason, it’s been eliminated). I would hope it hasn’t been. It was a pretty crucial feature, IMO.

Hmm. Weird. I updated through USB, and I did reset it after ... and there are various other changes that are reflected (so it’s not like the update didn’t work, at least in part).

I guess I may have to re-update and see if that’ll work. Thanks.

Just to be clear, you’re not talking about the “time division” knob, right?

I posted a similar post in a different forum and someone posted a screenshot of their q-links with 2.9 and it was the same as mine now (I.e., the “time division” knob had replaced the “shift timing” one).
