What Are Your Predictions For MPC 2.9 & MPC 3.0?

This is what I consider a answer to my question.

I must have applied like 20 times but not a single response to one application heh. Anyone that is a beta tester would be dumb to talk about it here (there's a couple of folks here that ARE part of it). I know this is "just the MPC Forums" but I wouldn't doubt that Akai keeps up with us here every now and then just like they used to watch Gearslutz (where the project manager would actually post as well). I doubt they're going to sue you or anything, unless you're distributing the betas or going out of your way to leak all their IP, but its a good way to get yourself blacklisted and never accepted for beta testing or anything confidential again.

I know this is crazy talk, but I'd just like it if NU AKAI could make my $2200 MPC X perform simple things like midi out of .pgm mode. Ya know things that the REAL AKAI was able to do with our machines 20 years ago..

I know it's crazy to think that, but that's all I want.. And to go out on a limb, I'd love it, if it could have the 4000's z-plane sampling features set as well, but let's not go overboard here..

Yeah, i'd be cool. It's more that it's unacceptable to have a new released unit, 20 years later, that doesn't do the basic stuff the old boxes could.. I love the MPC One, but in 2020 you might expect a bit more than a smartphone on steroids.. its very clear they dont care about the goats but target on the new age kids that buy it let it die in dust after 2hrs of finding out they are not into music, trading it for a ps5.

I dunno man... I have been on the MPC for nearly 20 years and feel plenty targetted right now. When Akai went controller mode only was when I figured I was out. Is the current line perfect? No, but I can absolutely work with it to produce tracks.

Oh absolutely, to be honest i didnt use 40% of what my 4K was capable of doing, most of times. But some stuff, like solid midi and stuff isnt guaranteerd rn, while it obviously should. It's 2021 ffs.

Once again, I love my MPC one, it's just the way companies release their products nowadays thats bothering me. Every niche has this, even 100k teslas arent ready to hit the market, yet they been sold. Videogames as well, they sell it, and with the profits they do the bug fixxes. For a new indi dev thats understandable, but steam/EA, not so much.

Remember Battlefield 4 for PS4 on release? that was awhile ago and it took a year for anything decent to happen with it. Couldnt do shit.
Now thats the norm. Music companies do it, vsts do it. everyone is doing it...

When was the last update again? Been playing around with the Hakai (Force) firmware on my X and I really dig the new mixer and arranger mode. Playing around with the Force firmware gave me new insights even clips are starting to make sense. Would love for 3.0 to drop soon and bring us these things.

Last update was the end of November I think?

If they don't i'll smeegol us up a next version lol. Ultimately it would be better if akai were willing to recognize the features we actually want vs me looting them like robinhood but whatever...
