Get a good Guitar signal in the MPC LIVE

No direct out,its a fender hot rod deluxe and no audio Interface. Thats why the dawless solution.

Isn’t there any “pre amp” output on that amp?
If not , a cheap Behringer GDI21 would help

The hot rod Deluxe doesn't have one, but the Deluxe IV does have a pre out.

i have a very small and cheap all tubes combo that sounds pretty nice (laney lc15r with jensen special speaker), it has a line out so i can go out of the valve pre directly into the mpc BUT i much prefer to mic the speaker itself. a friend of mine borrowed me one of his sennheiser md421 (dynamic large diaphragm mic) and it is perfect to record electric guitars into the mpc! strongly suggested!

I have guitar, effects pedals, the MPC, a keyboard, a Roland TR8-s. I still have to buy the Channel mixer and monitoring speakers (i use a cheap bass AMP to Hear what i do).

My goal is to play, record, sample live with guitar along the other instruments. I need a reasonnably clean signal to match with the drum machines and synth.

My Idea was to buy a pre-amp pedal ( like amt or Koch ) and a DI box to get a decent sound in the MPC.

If the goal is to not use a traditional computer. I would buy a digital mixer that has enough inputs and allows you to record via SD card. Check out TASCAM Model 12 Mixer or Zoom LiveTrak L-12 on the low end. This way you can record everything direct and not have to worry about constantly patching into the MPC LIVE.

You could patch everything into the Mixer and run the bus out into the MPC so you can sample those sounds. You'll need to turn off the record monitor on the MPC to avoid an loop back with sampling into the MPC.

md421 works well just have to watch out for those high mids.
