MPC One questions: soundcard, effects, external keyboard

Greetings! I am new here and have zero knowledge and experience with mpc’s but I’ve always wanted one and I now plan to buy a One but I have a few questions I haven’t been able to find (foolproof) answers to and I hope someone here knows and can help me....
1: Can I use the mpc one as a soundcard for connecting my analog world with a DAW?
2: Can I use the mpc one as a standalone effects unit for external gear (as a synth or electric bass (preamped))?
3: Can I connect an external keyboard via midi to play a sampled keyboard instrument (as a piano or an organ) ”properly”, ie. as if I was playing an acoustic piano?

I’ve tried looking for answers in manuals, in forums etc. but I’m not sure I can trust what I’ve found.

Yes MPC ONE can be used as a sound-card for any DAW. But only when in controller mode, it does not work while in standalone.

I understand what you meant. The only time you use it as a sound card, if you're in a tight tight tight position to finish a session. With all the pops, glitches, lag, dropouts, and crashing. It can barely count as one.

So basically it can be used as a soundcard but I’m better of with a ”proper” soundcard...
