MPC 1000 RAM INSTALL

I just purchased an MPC 1000 and purchased the RAM to install and do not know where to put the RAM. When I had a 2000 back in 98, I just opened up the 2000 and the ram slots were clearly visible. I don't see that on the 1000. Anyone with hints or help that has upgraded their 1000???? or do you know of any guides online?

I don't have a 1k so I don't know specifically where the ram is located inside. If it were me though I would just open it up and look around in there until I find the ram slots (the ram slot(s) should be about the same physical size as the ram itself).. Maybe it is underneath or on the side of something. Look around more.

Any possible problems if buying other than Akai memory. kinda scared of breakage and voiding warranty...

in the box for the chip there are instructions on how to do it. but if you dont have those u just flip it over theres a lil panel on the left side that u unscrew.
