Phantom button presses mpcx

Hi there, I have a new MPC X and it worked fine for a couple of days. Now the buttons seem to be pressing themselves. Without me touching it the unit is jumping into menus and different modes without me pressing a thing. I have the latest firmware and I unplugged everything. The only solution is to switch it off but then it appears pretty soon after being switched on. Demented - help appreciated.

Update firmware to latest 2.9.

Go to MENU > PREFERENCES > RESET

Disconnect any peripherals.

If it's still doing it, contact Akai support (fingers crossed they respond) or return it to the retailer for refund/exchange.

Thanks. I had already updated to 2.9.1 and unplugged the peripherals. It still happened. These phantom behaviours often end up as hardware issue which gets worse over time. The unit is only 10 days old so that’s bad juju.

I’ve contacted the retailer for replacement and akai.

Will let you know how I get on.
