A really, really good site for digging is http://www.mp3.com. You can preview 30 seconds of every track of anything you like. I mostly use it before I go and buy a CD.

anyone know how to convert them .ram files to mp3......just want them to listen to on my laptop, can't steam when I'm not online......

Yeah research is good if you know what your looking for but when you go to a shop somthing might jump out at you that you might not of got otherwise. Unless you just look for the same artists all the time then you could just do a search for that artist.

part of digging is noticing little things on the record cover or back cover that lets you know its worth a listen. this includes drummers, bass players, where it was recorded who produced it, what label its on, what year it came out, etc

these are all aspects of digging lost on the net digger just looking for group names
