Teach me on somthing I didn't know

So I have been using my MPC X only in standalone the tracking in my daw so one day.. I decided to use in my daw in controller mode forgetting it doesn't see my my harddrive where my beats are saved..so do I have to move do I have to export or save to a USB which would be a pain to record to my daw because I cannot load the project..I know this is an old issue but been peacefully composing..

Weird. I can run my Live 2 in Controller Mode and easily drag any of my standalone Projects (along with their samples) into the dekstop software and they open fine. That said, I have all of my standalone projects stored on an internal SATA SSD that I installed.

Where did you save your projects/samples on your X??

You can physically track out or export your stems to sd, usb stick and take to daw.
Below was a problem with controller mode not showing up in computer correctly.
Once that is done you also drag and drog from sd card, ssd to computer and into mpc software if you like.

With export you don’t run the risk of audio cable interference (emi, etc)

Didn't the OP install the wrong drivers for his X (he installed the MPC Touch drivers) in that thread? :hmmm:

Still wondering if the OP in this thread is attempting to access his built-in storage in Controller Mode, an attached SD Card/USB stick/drive, or if he has a SATA drive installed.

Sorry for not getting back to my post... im saving to my internal SSD drive.. when I load in controller mode I cannot find my internal drive.. Im going to try tonight again.. I know it something I'm missing.. I have not used my MPC X in controller mode in 5 months and have 2.9 soft and firmware... :Sigh:

MPC cannot format a non initialized hdd (manual).

Before putting the ssd in X I formatted my SSD using a hdd dock via windows, exfat.
I then placed it inside X, it came right up showing in standalone and explorer/finder.

Just dumb idk if im gonna blame the contact high or the scotch I drink... just cant believe I posted this... for those who are say yup we know .. I was saving to internal and to make matters worse I forgot I setup controller mode to point to q different harddrive.. so now loading and saving to the correct drive.. say no lol!

Yeah I thought them smoking in my garage was going to help.. nah I blame it on the acccccohol..hahah! I look at it this way I found 70 beats which I knew I made slow back on the sauce haha
