Decent portable speaker for MPC One?

Hey all, fairly new MPC user here. I’m super pleased with my MPC One but I do sort of want for a small speaker such as the Live has. I don’t travel with my MPC but there are times where I just don’t want to be physically tethered to the unit with headphones. A good set of studio monitors might do the trick, but while I don’t *travel* with my MPC I do use it around the house on occasion — coffee table or couch, in my home office between meetings, ideally outdoors on my deck once the weather turns nice again.

Not really expecting studio monitor frequency response from a portable speaker but I’m wondering if anyone has paired their MPC with a portable speaker that doesn’t butcher or EQ input signal. Battery powered obviously preferable but I’m already tethered to mains with the MPC so another plug isn’t the end of the world.

Great value, although there's no sub frequencies and they are mono.
But they are made pretty sturdy, sound good and don't light up like a toy. And the battery goes for days.

the thing i'm looking at is a creative compact soundbar , this should be quite like the speakers on the mpc live II and sit in front of my mppc quite well as it's like 40cm wide so not too big , available from amazon btw.

Does not seem like it would be good for monitoring.

check out their line; istandard endorsed 1 of their monitors at an event I attended 2-3 years ago.
There were 40-80 of us in a large industrial loft & it bumped out beats for 2-4 hours . . . . . .

Bluetooth and Line, awesome sound, quite clear and precise.
Battery is said to not last for more than three years. But since the One doesnt have one either, you are probably used to using a powerbank anyway...

Be aware that some wireless solutions might be useless for production because of the latency they have. Even 30ms latency would be annoying.....Blutooth often has latency.

In fact i wouldn't even use any modern amplifier for production as they almost all have DSP that introduces delay........ i would choose an old fashioned analog amp that has no DSP and a 100% analog path...... they're getting harder to find, Denon still make a few.

Good point.Before spending a lot of money for some speaker that you cant use.

For years (before it eventually gave out) i used the Jawbone big jam box which was super loud and good quality.Did not have any latency with the line in.Well worth it if you can get a good deal.Obviously getting a bit old now tho.

Was bluetooth audio implemented in one of the updates? I've always used line out or wired headphones. I remember trying some BT headphones early on, only to learn it was not possible on mpc. I agree about the latency issue.. it's unbearable on ipad, only use wired now.

For 'recording' blue tooth audio is a non starter because of latency
For 'playback' it's fine.
If you're looking for an external speaker.. make sure it has a line out.
