Hi All,
So...I set the sample time to around 25 seconds and I’ve sampled in 16 various drum hits from my Roland MC80EX in one go and chopped them manually. I then went to each one and tidied up the start points. The inconsistency is that the redundant silence at the start that I thought I’d be able to ‘process/ discard’ was greyed out for some but not all the slices. Consequently, the samples that I’ve not been able discard the redundant start silence have a slice of grey before the sample starts.
It doesn’t affect how the samples sound but I wondered why it is this way. Or if I’m doing something wrong. Any help or pointers would be really appreciated.
I’m running V2.8 on an MPC X in standalone mode and I’m quite new to MPC’s.
Regards,
MtD.

When you are in chop mode you cannot do some of the process operations. You need to be in trim mode. My guess is that you are in chop mode or have otherwise created some slices... but I may be wrong.

Thanks Near Tao,
I’ll be doing some more later so will make a mental note of which mode I’m in when doing what.
Cheers,
