Hi everyone,
I have assigned my Launch Control XL to the main elements of the mixer in drumsynthmulti (On, Solo, Pan, Delay, Reverb). This allows me to have easier control of the 8 Drum Synth instruments during performance

The one thing that is missing are assignments of the volume sliders on the LC to the 8 volume sliders in the mixer and neither to the Gains of the individual instrument settings. I can't find either of them in the list with target parameters for the respective instruments.

Does anyone know how to achieve this? It is a bit of a bummer not to have the volume control.....

If it is not possible I will have to try eight different tracks (which I do not prefer).

Ciao

Can you midi assign 8 track/channel volumes from mpc to LC?
..instead of drumsynth directly?

Thanks for your reply. As I wrote this may be possible but I would prefer to keep it tight and easier to play each instrument by using one track.

The individual instrument may not be midi vol capable but the track or channel it’s on might be.

You’ll have no solution if everything is on one track.

Yes, you're probably right. I dont understand why this was not included since almost all other parameters DrumSynthMulti are assignable, including mute.

Anyway, as long it has not been addressed I'll indeed have to work with dedicated tracks and assign the volume control of the program tracks to the volume sliders of the LC.

Nevertheless if anyone here has a work around and/or could take this on board in the next firmware update that would be great.

It doesn’t need to be implemented imo. By industry design tracks and channels are midi capable. Not all instruments are. Your already given the pieces to make it work. One track for everything isn’t normal so suffer you will.

Suffer I will, great master.

If you happen to find another way to work around that and it works out for you I’d like to hear about it. Maybe someone else could benefit from your method.

Yes I will. The most versatile and track and control efficient solution for me is currently (still) to use a drum instrument. This allows me to use two dedicated custom templates in Launch control XL (between which I can quickly switch) to assign all 16 pads to 16 LC tracks, assign per pad three different effects to the rotary knobs per LC track and assign mute and solo to the LC toggle knobs.

How do you have a kit of pads made from several single plugin drum instruments, without every drum plugin instrument being played whatever you press? i.e. how do you limit a single drum plugin instrument to only play on one pad?
