I downloaded expansions in ISO format but I can't open them how do you use these expansions? Will they work on the Akai mpc X?

Good Evening, i downloaded akai expansions in iso format, i googled and i found this:

This must some old expansion for mpc 5000 or something

i must convert them wit CDXtract, i loaded the iso expansion file with the programm CDXTRACT, but i dont know how to convert them for my Akai mpc X ?

Is there somewhere a instruction ? Very complicated this CDXTRACT Programm

Akai don't distribute their expansions in ISO format. They come with proper windows/Mac installers or a standard folder for standalone installation. I can only assume this is not a 'official' Akai expansion but some kind of cracked copy. If so, the solution is to buy the proper copy direct from Akai instead.

Well an ISO is usually an image of a CD or DVD, as far as I can remember, Akai never released 'expansions' on disc, and 'expansions' weren't really a thing until this generation of MPC's. CDXtract is also ancient, and hasn't been developed or updated in like a decade. You probably wont find much help with it unless you find someone that has been using it for quite awhile. If that ISO cant be directly read by Windows itself, then its probably an old Akai format sample cd, and you wont be doing much with that on a new MPC even if you managed to get them off of it and convert them to the new format.
