Mixing Drum Synth/Programs on a single set of pads

The aim here is to have a drum sample kit/programme at the same time of a DrumPlugin (on single drum, not multi). i.e. the drumPlugin is only on a single pad.

I know I can set up a midi track and assign pads to different notes of a single midiChannel to combine the drumMulti and a sampleKit. (mixed or separate)

But the problem is that a DrumProgramSingle cannot be assigned to a single pad? I can turn off chromatic in the drum synth so all the pads are at the note that I want, by the Tune function. But all pads/notes are firing and I don't know how to turn all but one off.

Any ideas please?

I don't sequence from the MPC, might go buy a blokas.io/midihub/ and solve this problem that way/

If you just want to play the drum synth sound at different pitches.. you could sample it and use 16 levels to play it chromatically.

Yep, merging using padCopy can't be done. The hack i have for this when using drumMultiPlugin, is by having a midi track, and then on the drumSampleProgram, using the same note as the multiPlugin uses. i.e. kick on c-2 on midi track > sentTo multiDrums > sentTo drumProgram. That nice, but i submix every separate drum component (of combined sample/synth) caus i love jamming on a dubMix fx ting. So thats why i'm trying to figure this out... The mixing tools and fx on the mpc are really good, wish it had more inputs, and some visual fabFilter style tools.

You could fiddle around with MIDI tracks and the SEND TO option, but I bet it‘s easier to control them from external sources or not at all.

Realize this is 3 years later, but I wish there was an elegant solution to this.. being able to trigger multiple drum synth plugins from a single pad setup. Yes understand sampling and creating a kit, but the cool thing about the plugins besides the sound design depth is that you can use all kind of modulation on the synth parameters. If there were a cool solution it would open up an elektron kind of workflow such as on digitakt/syntakt/machine drum. Have been creating separate parts on multiple tracks and playing with that,and it’s fun and powerful, but wish there were a better way to perform with these plugins together.
Seems like they’re leaving a lot on the table by providing drum synth plugins and no cool way use them together in a kit short of sampling.
