Hello,

I have a 2019 IMAC27 5K (under catalina)
Intel Core i5 3 GHz 6 cores 8GO 1TO FD the software I use MPC Software from Akai (2.91) coupler has an MPC X
What bothers me a lot and surprises me is that the program is much less responsive than my old 2014 2.8hz i5 mac mini !!! with FD and 8go ...
latency times during audio processing ... progress bar .... a few seconds but it's boring ... when I drag and drop a simple kick of a few (k0) it's not instantaneous like on my mac mini (yosemeite)

I went to the imac activity monitor but I don't really know how to interpret it ...? to give them I see that the software MPC and at the head level consumption 900mo approximately ...

I have 8gb ram and I have 6gb taken while I have the Soft MPC and Chrome ... open

Do you think I need to increase the ram or is it due to other things?

I specify that I have no problem with the other standard applications of the MAC

thank you

Dude.
I feel your pain.

Today I finally gave up on using the software.
I can run the largest session on Reason or Pro Tools with rocksolid performance with my Babyface pro.
As soon as I introduce the MPC software its crackle galore.
Like literally a new session with a high buffer and no other plugins and things are just not as stable anymore.
I personally only use it with the Live and only as a plug-in but I'm officially back to the midi MTC route.

I've come to terms that I might prefer that workflow anyways but pretty annoying that I don't have the option. Hopefully they fix it. I don't remember it being like that before 2.7 though.
:Sigh:
