Software to create a keygroup program from samples

Any update on this??? I'm trying to convert some Samples From Mars folders and some of the resulting Keygroup instruments are a garbled mess....it's pretty hit or miss. Maybe I am doing something wrong? I'm just dragging the folder onto the application icon

Hey, I started reworking it to make it more usable, but got lazy and it went nowhere.

Can you send the name of the samples used? Maybe it’s an easy fix. The detection is only based on the files naming.

Yea here's an example of the naming convention for a patch that didn't work

46_Osc1Saw_2600_A#1
47_Osc1Saw_2600_B1
48_Osc1Saw_2600_C2

Im guessing the issue is it has both the MID and Note # in the filename?

Yup that's most likely the issue, I will see if it can be fixed. In the meantime removing the suffix from the file names should help

Hey, I figured out why some sample pools won't convert...(or become a jumbled mess when converted)

The naming convention isn't the issue...it will convert fine with the MIDI value in front and Note value at the end...BUT

If the sample has a value that goes into negative octave range (-1, -2) it ruins the keygroup conversion.

i.e.

12 Strings Pitched Tape TOM 1501 F-1
18 Strings Pitched Tape TOM 1501 F#-1
19 Strings Pitched Tape TOM 1501 G-1 etc. etc.

will not convert.. it has to start from octave 0. I tested this on several patches by removing the subzero octaves and converting and every sample pool worked perfectly.

You just saved my ass, got myself a 7GB realistic instruments library but for Kontakt. Would take me forever to make all the keygroup programs with MPC Software alone, its just too much hassle to manually map every note!
