song mode help on 3K

wasup all,
This is kinda stupid but is it true that when you convert to a seq from song mode that all your track mutes are applied from the first sequence in the song? For example, if I have an intro seq where I just muted the drum tracks and the they come in around the 3rd seq, the drums stay muted all the way through after I convert it..Is this correct or am I doing something wrong? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I never used convert to seq since I got the 3000.

Maybe something in mix data? I guess not.

Perhaps instead of muting the tracks in the sequence you can set velocity to zero on the tracks you want muted? It's gotta follow velocity changes.

Elmacaco, I wanted to know about song mode as well, I am sick of turning the track knob ON/OFF in real time when I want to mix things up. I would be dope if I can alter samples n sh*t, even on the same track and having it saved in a sequence.

Am I making any sense here? By the way, I just got back from VST in Pasadena, got new black pads, I kept my old grey one, man , it was really dirty n sh*t, I am glad I got a fresh pad, the black looks fresh
