PC Heads...

Yo whats up.....Check this, I have downloaded the audacity program so i can use it as the sample editor with akasys right,..but my problem is I get and error saying there is no audio device for playback when I try to play the sample in the program.....So I go into the sound device screen on my computer and there is nothing there for me to choose from in the audio device section.........! Whats up with this......? My computer is athlon 2500+ PC......I have the mbox setup....!Hopfully someone can help me with this cause I got my eye on Recycle.........

obviously your computer is outputting sounds normally with other programs right?

what other soundcards you have? do you have a default card set in your audio properties?

I was just about to ask that same question.

I went ahead and copped the recycle and it automactically reconignized the mbox as my sound device.......I have loaded it on my computer but haven't had the chance to put it to work yet cause wifey is trippin.....! I have been reading the manual trying to gain knowledge ya know!.....


Thanks for the replies fellows....Does anybody care to share some tips and trick as far as munipulating samples and transfering them to the 4000!

Every since I got the program I just load any sample into the mp and experiment with it in Recycle...... I haven't made any tracks with it yet!.... Im amazed that it has an EQ...! Im still trying to grasp the concept with the time stretching and adjusting the tempo.......! I mainly phuk with melody samples..(old school records)...I don't to much deal with drum breaks.........Binger where you at dude.... give me some inside tips home boy.....The way you take samples and flip them is ridiculous man....!

been using recycle since day one......

Yeah I know it is not an editor, I just thought it had cue points like in SF...
Since the 2k classic dont have an auto zone function, I thought Recycle would ZONE it for you and I can save each zone as I would on the MP..

im learning!

u can zone. goto enable grid. then got to add slices at grid. then u can autochop. that is how i get down with it. also make sure the stretch is very short, like 1 to 5%. or u will have that crazy tail. but master the grid. say u got a 4 bar loop set the shit at 2 bars then add the grid. and u will have 1/8th note slices, instaed of 1/16th note. If u want quarter notes set that 4 bar loop to 1 bar, and then do the grid.
