Power mA output of usb?

Does anyone know how much juice the USB outputs provide with an MPC live?

wanting to buy a box that's drawing 150mA (a BomeBox)

isn't the USB spec 500ma?

I believe it's USB 2.0,
USB 2.0 is 5V at 500 mA... 2.5 watts
I'm pretty sure it isn't USB 3.0, but double check that
(if it is, google the specs for 3.0 but last I looked it's 900 mA at 5V for 3.0)
