Hi! I recently purchased a MPC Live 2 and I'm pretty comfortable using it now, but I had a few questions:

1. The available expansions seem to duplicate eachother or have smaller versions of the same programs. Does the 'vault' expansion contain everything? Which expansions would I need to get in order to have the entire collection without duplicates? I'm a bit confused because there is for example vault v1 and vault v2, different sizes, but almost the same programs? Same for a few of the other expansions as well. It's a lot of space to have for duplicates of stuff I probably wont ever use :)

2. I have an Octatrack and have my audio interface connected to all of its jacks. It's a sampler, so when I want to sample something, I just set the output to the Octatrack. Its great and super easy! However - what would be great is if I could select the output for a track with a midi controller, like a pedal board. Does anyone know if this is possible?

3. I know that we cant rearrange tracks after they're made, so I do have a template setup with my configuration. Is manually copying tracks over eachother really the only way to go about doing this? Is there a utility or anything?

That's it, those are the things I couldnt figure out via google! Any help would be appreciated :)

1. You're going to end up duplicating a lot of content if you save to projects... so get used to it. That said most sample packs don't have duplicates... but the vault v1 to v2 is an example of this... just get v2

2. I don't think it is possible to select which inputs based on midi.

3. Changing track orders is a pain... yeah.

What NearTao said. :) But I'll also add: make sure you are saving any Expansions, samples, song Projects, etc - to your own SD Card, USB Drive/Stick, or SATA drive installed. Do *NOT* use the built-in storage, as it is extremely limited and will cause issues down the line if you take up the space. Also, if you remove your own SD Card, USB Drive/Stick, or SATA drive (when it is in Controller Mode and showing up as a drive letter on your Computer), make sure you are software ejecting the drive before removing it or switching back into Standalone mode, or you *WILL* damage the file structure and eventually cause issues (including data loss) sometime down the line.

Enjoy!
