Sequence automation

I’ve created automation on one sequence but it doesn’t change when the sequence changes.

I have a hi hat in the verse that I want a high cut but want it to open up for a chorus or a filter sweep into the chorus but when I switch to the next sequence the automation stays the same.

Edit. This is in the LFO section btw. My preference would be to not use a plug-in slot

Can someone help me figure out what I’m doing wrong?

Are you saying your recorded automation changes were duplicated on both sequences, but you only want it on one? If so, just show the automation in the grid editor and delete the lane in the offending sequence.

If you automate the cutoff for a hihat on sequence A, then as far as I know, the position of the cutoff at the very end of sequence A, is what it will also be left at, when continuing onto sequence B..

So if the cutoff is for example fully open at the end of the sequence, then it will be so on the next sequence as well..

This is static for the pad itself so you can't have independent cutoff positions per sequence, unless you automate.. So it's not going to revert, if you will.. When it leaves sequence A.

So if you want a doff position on the next sequence, you can just automate back to where you want it to be and it will remain there throughout all of the following sequences, unless some other automation comes in and leaves it at a different position once more.

Personally, I've abandoned automating filters for the individual pads.. I initially hated the idea of using a plugin for it, but ended up preferring it instead.

Ugh, seems like such an archaic way to do it lol but i can see it applying if you need to fine tune. I'd like to avoid and not have to dig so deep and kill the flow... thanks

Hey so I tried this and still doesn’t work. I’d rather use the program edit parameters instead of a plug-in for sure. So is there an actual way to do this?
