Hello all!
I couldn't really find anything like this skimming through and really didn't know how to word to search this, but I'll try and make it short...
I recently purchased an MPC Live mk2 and was having some cosmetic problems so the dealer is taking it back but will take a little while to get going so I decided to order a replacement from another source.
I got the replacement, and for some reason it occurred to me to compare the new speaker against the one on the machine I'm sending back.
Everything sounded fine at first but then I started to realize the sample/clip I used to run the test (which is part of the stock internal clips expansion) sort of stutters/flutters/glitches on the new MPC and doesn't on the other. I tested more (mainly four to the floor) loops in the same expansion and the same thing happens.
I put my headphones on and listened through on both machines to make sure it wasn't a bad speaker on the new one, but I hear the same thing.
Since there is so much talk about not messing with the internal storage on these, should I be concerned with this since that's where the issues are coming from? I know I can load these samples from Akai onto external storage but it's still concerning having this happen.
I have time to return this if I have any issues with it but do you guys think it would be an issue with the onboard storage itself?
Any other suggestions or should I just brush this off?
Thanks ahead of time.
