If working with great sounding WAV files; Is it a good practise to normalize your samples and stems prior to chopping?

Im noticing some of my stem waveforms are harder to see. Im assuming it is safe to normalize everything as long as it does not have a negative impact on the sound quality.

Yes, u assume as long as you're not increasing the sample over a certain dB that distorts the sample you're fine. I don't recommend doing this all the time with every sample because it's not necessary if the sample is already loud enough. It's not a habit that is needed consistently.
