Hi,
I'm having a little problem here...
I'll try to be as clear as possible;
I've got an audio track. Sounds good, ok.
I would like to record midi tracks (beats &sounds) over it but...
If I turn to midi mode and press "Rec", I can hear my audio track and my samples playing but when I stop and listen, nothing has been recorded. For the moment the only way I could find was to go into grid mode and use the pencil tool to get my samples started... there must be a better way to do it (playing in real time) but I can't figure it out... Any help someone?

The midi track(s) with the drums/samples, are they armed (red AUTO button) when you record?

OK, thanks a lot, I turned the MPC off, then when back on, I noticed the red button was lit and when I recorded midi it worked as expected.
Maybe I had turned it off without noticing.
Thx again and sorry for the stupid question!

Good it's working again!
You can touch and change that button in various screens also. Track View shows several tracks midi arm buttons.

you can hold shift and arm and it should arm all tracks too. BUT that wont work in track view.. bit dumb that isn't it. Cant tell if it is a bug or if that is how it is
