Can you Set Vu Meters to "Track"?

Hey Gang,

In Preferences/Hardware, there is an option to set the Vu Meter Source to "Current Program" or "Master".
Why not "Track" as a third option?
Is there a way that's just as good that I'm over-looking?

„Tracks“ in MPC contain only MIDI data. Since it doesn‘t produce sound by itself, there‘s nothing to show.
