you cant sample vinyl records w/ the 1000?

is this true what i read in the owner's manual?

i just dl'ed it off of the akai website and i was reading the sampling part.

it goes like this: 'here, you will learn how to record digital signal'.

'you can record only from the devices whose sampling rate is set to 44.1kHz(ex. CD player). the mpc 1000 does not support the other sampling rates.'

i somewhat understand, unless my assumption that record players use analog signal is completely off.

also, i was wondering if i could get the link to those mpc1000 vs 2000 archives. i cant find those for the life of me.

any suggestion would be appreciated, so thanks a million in advance.

plug turntables mixers into mpcs audio ins. then sample. u can sample any thing wiht an output, turns, cd players, computers, tvs, etc...

Yep, I think that's just describing the digital ins. You can sample anything.

Unless the turntable has a line out. Then you can go from turntable to MPC.

i see. as to turntables w/ line outs, im not certain as to how to search for them on websites, will they show up in their respective spec showings?

is there a brand/model that any of you guys know off the top of your head?

you can find a fisher price one for $5 or something at any thrift store. those work well, too.

this just in........i got into a car wreck this evening w/ a gentleman that had NO insurance, and COULD NOT SPEAK ENGLISH of course.

i couldnt buy an sp-303 this christmas, b/c i spent my christmas cash on repairing some dumb shiet for my car.

ironically, i save up w/ tax return for an mpc, and a random immigrant wants to dart out in front of oncoming traffic in the night while it's raining doomsday.

*sigh* one of these days i'll get an mpc. one of these days.

look, i'm tryin to help you. fisher price tables work really well when you got nothin else (times is hard, okay?) . really, really sorry bout your car and money situation. trust me, i know how that is.

mpcrenai... most turntables have line outs but the signal is too weak to plug directly into the mpc1k. an RIAA amp (its in all dj mixers) boosts this signal.Some sites have 'em separate (Rolls) for around $45.A digital out on a turntable feeds a stereo signal from one cable to the mpc like Denon but cost more.
