I have the power adapter plugged in and the midi out of the 249 into the midi in on the mpc one I cannot get the keys to play what do I do thanks in advance

mpk249 is purely a midi controller, it has no sounds in it. On mpc one main menu, you need to be on a track that has sounds/instruments in it. MPK249can control/play those sounds.

Also in the settings under midi you will find a list of devices. make sure "track" is highlighted on all of the devices you want to input midi from.
