Did you check the fuse near the transformer?
You could probably change that out for less than a quid and save the rest of the money for more gear.

" Ive got an electronics guy trying to fix my blown power supply."

If he needs schematics for a power supply then I would not call him an "electronics guy" and get my MPC back from him.

Power supplies are the easiest thing to fix on any piece of gear and can be done by any 1st year electronics student without schematics.

its not just the fuse thats blown cos everytime we put a new one in it just blew straight away, so thats why hes saying its something else on the power supply, he got his multi meter out and narrowed it down to one of the components (think it was transistor??) so hes ordered me a new part. He still wanted the diagrams anyway...

hope its gonna be ok, you guys got me worried now

I was going to ask... are you sure your MPC isn't a U.S. or Japanese model? Only because my friend blew the fuse on his when he got here from the States. He used a British power cord with it.

I think its a UK model, I had it running with no problems for about 3 months..

what caused it to break in the first place was that fact that I turned the power off then on again within under half a second (lazy way of clearing the samples).... once its fixed I wont be doing that again!!
