My metronome click sound has sound really odd behavior. It's set to the default MPC click noise but the click sounds like a low tom until I trigger pads at which point the click sounds like the normal click/rimshot like noise. As sound as I stop triggering pads, the click sounds goes back to the low tom like sound.

Oddly, if I enter MPC60 vintage mode, the click sounds normal throughout but usage of the xy pad makes the click sound like the low tom. All other vintage modes exhibit the same issue described first; low tom noise until I trigger pads.

Anybody know what might be going on?

Yeah It’s annoying as hell. It’s a bug. Akai has been made aware of it. It only effects stand alone mode due to the speaker. With headphones attached the click is normal again. Drives me crazy!

One thought..It’s possible it’s some limiting functionality to protect the built in speakers from the loud punchy click. But whatever the case may be, they need to fix it!
