MPC One / controller mode / MacBook M1

Has anyone else here bought a new Macbook/MacBook Air with M1 recently and found that the MPC One & the computer do not find each other when attempting to enter controller mode? Is this because they are not compatible (yet)? My is stuck in "Looking for computer" mode.

I have the same issue on the new M1 macbook pro

Hopefully a fire is lit under Akai because Native Instruments controllers and stuff are working in beta on the M1.

Support was very helpful *NOT* just telling me not to upgrade to big sur...

You could always work stand alone and export your tracks to ableton or logic. It’s what I plan on doing when mine finally arrives. Sucks that not a lot of Plug-ins aren’t supported yet but from what I read ableton works and there’s more than a Enough to mix with their stock plugins. I’m sure the same applies to logic, I might have to check that out. Besides being able to mix and upload my my beats, I’m in no hurry to get things working right on the new apple.

Has anyone come up with any workarounds for this? I am using the MPC Live in standalone and resampling into my Live Projects. Has anyone tried using MPC 2.6?

There is no solving the issue. The drivers dont support Big Sur or the ARM Macs. It aint gonna work until Akai gets off their asses and writes a new driver.

so true, I have never even seen this so called controller mode you all go on about!
Seriously, and I can't go back to old Mac either, just not worth it, or is it? I don't know, I think that they will eventually do it, but it's a small growing percentage of M1 users now, not exactly everyone. But it will only grow as a percentage over time, and could literally be only 3% of Apple users now, then 90% who knows when? Which brings an interesting point. What happens when nearly every Mac is Apple Silicon? Then what happens? Is it a race when a majority of Apple users are on Apple Silicon, and they will be, then it means the MPC is not compatible with Macs as a whole not just a few.
So I expect it to be on next major version coming but I would not hold my breath.
