Lampdog wrote:Solo means 1 so don’t ask how to solo multiple tracks cause that’s not what solo means. Can’t do it.

Another bit of inefficient workflow that needs an upgrade. The definition is different in the audio world.

once again, reached out to AKAI....got this :

Thank you for reaching out to us. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you!

If you hit the Sequence tab on the left under the Track Grid View it will bring up all the Midi Tracks in the sequence. This is where you can select which track you like to solo so you don't just get Track #1

this was followed up by a phone call from tech support, letting me know that: when one presses solo button on track mute page it is by design that it defaults to TRACK 1 solo!!!!!!!!!!WHUT?????? and the email explained to me how to actually solo instruments......so there you have it......anyone want to buy a MPC Live 2?

You know, I would've argued with you about that not being how it worked, but I never used the solo button on the track mute page... clearly... because yeah... that's pretty useless.

I would have expected the SOLO button to flip to MUTE, and just change pad modes/behavior. Ah well. Weird, but I will get over it.
