How many times did ya'll mute a track for mixing purposes and then being unable to unmute that track??
It is tooooo f*cking annoying, only thing you can do to fix it, is save the song and then re-open it, and then you are able to unmute it... but it is driving me up the walls....

Did you enable "write" automation maybe? if the red W is selected rather than a green R you'll be *recording* mute events whenever its playing and then the project acts like a jerk. leave automation on the green R and it will let you automate with the record button or overdub rather than at all times.

Also Soloing a track can screw things up with mutes..

yep i suppose it is when i am solo-ing stuff to edit/engineer add fx and balance volume....
but i dont think its the R/W automation thing, i rarely mess with that unless i want to add automation...

Here's usually how this mess is triggered (and solved) for me.. Messing around with solos and mutes, and you get this weird thing where some tracks are muted and you can not turn it off.. You can hear the track again if you solo it but it's back to mute if you turn off solo again..

And usually what has happened, is that there is some other track, somewhere, that is still in solo..

And then you need to find it and turn off solo and other tracks should either stop being muted, or you will be able to turn off mute on those tracks. .

However, I can swear that I've had cases where there's no track to be found that is in solo, that prevents mute on other tracks from being turned off.. Or that they do not even show as being muted, but you can not hear what's on the track unless you hit solo..

And then I just reload..

And it can also simply be faster to reload than to scroll through a lot of tracks trying to find the specific track that is messing with you.

As for automation, but slightly unrelated but possibly another bug, is that the hardware button on the X only seems to work sometimes to activate the WRITE state..

Sometimes it works, other times I have to use the touch screen because the hardware button does nothing.
