Hi guys

I have a MPC one with the 2.9 software.

I want to use the mpc for live acts in standalone mode.

I created a sequence (999 long) with 13 tracks. All the tracks are playing samples from the same program i created.
For example:
track 1: kick (coming from the program i created)
track 2: bas (coming from the same program i created)
track 3: hihat (same program)
...

This way i can perform easily using the track mute function (starting and stoping sounds when i want)

for track 12 i have a long melodie (88 beats) that is also midi triggered. I warped this melody and it works fine when i have not all tracks playing (F.e. 4 tracks are muted and the rest is playing). But when all tracks are unmuted this melodie plays only for 2 or 3 (sometimes longer, sometimes shorter) beats and then you don't hear it anymore until it is triggered again after 88beats (and plays shortly again).

The entiere program is set in poly and i don't use mute groups.

Does anyone know what i am doing wrong here?

I also tried to trigger the melodie using clip launch, but the exact the same problem here (works fine with a few tracks muted, but when every thing is playing it has problems playing it all).

All help is appreciated

Polyphony problem.

Too many samples playing at the same time.

Stereo samples eat up 2 voices (left + right).

You could flatten or resample to save some voice count.

“When tracks are muted” is the thing that lets you know too many voices are playing simultaneously when some things are muted other things play fine.

Only use stereo samples when the sample itself or that samples effects need stereo movement.
