MPC 1 midi controller mode

I was having trouble with the MPC one in controller mode on Logic Pro X. When programming the the pads on the MPC to match the chromatic scale notes on the drum designer or any other Vst that pad will trigger another pad of a different note. For example C1 will also trigger C# 1 or D at random . Is there anyway to troubleshoot this problem. I am a new MPC user simply trying to incorporate it into my workflow. Thanks in advance!
