I mean.. if you can’t play piano (yet want to compose classical music on your Force), I’d imagine that presents sort of a conundrum. I guess maybe you don’t need a MIDI key controller if you can’t play keys and have no desire to learn. Maybe see if what you’re trying to accomplish can be just on Force alone. Its chromatic/chords mode should help you out.

Basically anything that can send it MIDI would work, or you can use the pad note entry systems, or you could use the pianoroll on the touchscreen - there are a few ways of achieving the same thing.

Some people are hopeless on keyboard, but use wind controllers because they learned to play saxophone - or even MIDI drum pads can work, if you play the drums. Whatever works for you, there's a way to make it work.

Hey again guys, I notice there's MPC expansions at Akai site. Do these work with the Force? Are they worth getting? Thanks.

Yes - Expansions are cross-compatible with Force. They're all just Drum Programs and Keygroups, both of which Force supports.

Subjective. Some may think they're awesome; some may think they're crap. Take a spin through the demo audio files before buying to get an idea of what comes in them.

Hey guys, I'm about to install a SKhynix 1TB SATA SSD. I pre-formatted on my PC too exFAT and named the drive "force_ssd"

I made an Expansions folder and put my new mpc-samples expansion into it, Orchestral Instruments Pro

Do I also need to make a Projects and Samples folder(s)?

I mean, for organizational reasons that would probably be wise. You can name it whatever you want though - where you save your Projects and Samples on your new SSD is entirely up to you. I have one folder called "Shit I Did Tonight", and another called "Crappy Samples". :lol:

Lol okay cool. I just didn't know if it let you make folders or not while using the Force. I can't see why not.

No, it is not correct. Sample in stereo or mono - just depends on the sound you're going for. :wink:

Would this be the cable to use for my iPhone playing YouTube for Sampling?

If you use that cable and want to sample in mono for some reason, you have to first go into your iPhone settings under Accessibility -> Audio/Visual -> and turn on "Mono Audio" first, or you will lose 1/2 of your channel signal when sampling. That cable is designed to split a mono signal *FROM* a 1/4" output into both channels of a 3.5mm input. You're trying to use it the other way around.
