I know I've seen posts about this in the past - the pads on MPC Live just triggering randomly - like, in 2 banks (pads 1 thru 8, or 9 thru 16, or sometimes both) kind of just firing off, or worse, when you press a pad, others in that bank will trigger

Mine has been threatening this behavior for awhile. Usually it will just sort of fix itself after playing for a minute or 2, but it's getting worse... did anyone find a solution? Is it a *fairly easy* fix, taking it apart and cleaning and (possibly) re-carboning the pads? Or maybe they work on another principle? Thanks!

Never heard of this happening. Have you tried firmware re install? What version are you running?

I tried taking my Live apart when I had it. I didn’t get far? Legacy machines I used were easy to swap parts and service. This gen is a pita.

Try Resetting your Preferences 1st. Especially if you just Updated your Live

It is certainly a hardware problem, pressure on the pads seems to reset it. People have commented on it in the FB MPC groups...

I'll take a video next time I start it up

It started happening some time ago, and it is getting progressively worse. I've been updating firmware regularly, so I'm on 2.9.1
