Hi guys! Question:

I am doing a live set with Mpc Live and Digitakt.
The Digitakt for the drums. The Mpc for Synths and vocals.

I would like the Mpc to be sidechained by Digitakts kick.

Is there a way to do this?

If not possible, is it possible to set a dummy channel on the mpc, to sidechain a track, but not be heard?

Thanks!

My workflow [this will not work for live sets]
1] Record the digitakt kick loop to an audio clip
2] set this audio clip as the mother ducker input

U can try:

From what I know, the DIGI only has 1 pair of stereo outs.
assuming you can separate the digi kick from the other drums

1] put the mother ducker input on an audio track that only the digi kick is routed to.

2] run that KICK output into the MPC & get the levels right

PS – this is why every sampler/groovebox should have at least 4 outs.
