Studio Monitors & MPC Live 2

Hi Everyone,
I could do with abit of advice...

BACKGROUND:
Due to a nasty accident I've been bed-ridden for just over 2 months so I decided to treat myself to a MPC Live 2 to keep myself amused as i wouldn't be able to use my small home studio during that time. I've really taken to the MPC workflow and think it's great.

I'm at the stage in my recovery where i can now venture back into my home studio, and rather than dive back into my previous DAW based production, I want to carry on using the MPC for a while. I like using the MPC in standalone mode rather than in controller mode.

My monitors (Adam a7x) are currently connected to my audio interface (RME802) which is connected to my PC.

QUESTION:
I want to work with my MPC in standalone mode but want to output the sound to my monitors rather than the built in speaker - how do I go about doing this without unplugging them from my audio interface? I presumed i would just connect the MPC to the audio interface. - is this right?

Any help appreciated, I apologise if this is an obvious question (i blame my accident for making me getting all muddled up in working this out on my own).

If you dont want to unplug them from the RME, you can setup RME's monitoring to do it. Plug your MPC's main outputs (or all 6 if you want) into the RME's inputs, and then use TotalMix to monitor those using the RME's outputs. I do the same thing here, my MOTU is the main device connected to my monitors, and when I use my hardware/mixer setup, I just patch my mixers outputs into the monitors in my patchbay. But I can also do it using the MOTU as well, I just plug the mixers outputs into a couple of the MOTU's inputs instead and then I can use CueMix (MOTUs 'Totalmix' app) to send those inputs directly to the outputs. Thats how I monitor everything when its time to track all 24 channels of the mixer into Logic, otherwise my hardware and computer setups are completely independent of one another.
