Hi everyone!

Thanks for all your replies and help.
I moved to 1010music blackbox for my kind of looping job.
It works quite fine there.

Sadly have to sell the MPC One, cause money is short and I can't have them both.

Kind regards

Yes, this is true and it's annoying. I was going to program my own triggering app (for Raspberry Pi) that would sync with the MPC and would allow all kinds of missing features for sample triggering but never got around to it and writing it would feel a bit weird since these are basic features that should've been in the box from day one.

It sounds like the author of this question is leaving the MPC life. For anyone out there that may face this situation I would recommend a rather simple approach: have two sequences. Sequence 1 has the whole sample, the one the author referred to as the "count-in". Sequence 2 has only the loop, which the author referred to as a specific section of the original sample. Start your performance by hitting "play" while in sequence 1 and immediately select sequence 2 (in order to cue it so it starts right after sequence 1 ends). This way you'l have the hands free while playing, in the author's case, a guitar.

In both sequences, a drum program would be my program of choice to execute this.

Cheers.
