is this a defective mpc one pad?

i have this issue with a new mpc one where pads 9 and 10 are less sensitive than the rest. the other pads work as expected, but 9 & 10 i have to hit them extra hard for them to work. is this a defect? if all the pads were the same i would adjust it in settings, but its only those 2 pads.

Test it correctly by loading the same sample onto all 16 pads. Does pad 9 and 10 still appear less sensitive than the rest? If so, then yes - you have a defective MPC. Hopefully you're within your return window from wherever you bought it and can exchange it. Otherwise you'll have to deal with warranty service.
